What is the major difference between quartz and granite?
Granite is a type of natural stone. Quartz, however, is man-made. Many times people use the word "quartz" interchangeably with "engineered stone". The two stones are low maintenance and fairly stain resistant. Quartz is not heat resistant like granite, which means at high temperatures it will crack. A hot pot cannot be set directly on a quartz counter top. Find out more about caring for your countertops here.
